Welcome to Talking Sense

“Talking Sense” is a new company created in 2013 and led by co-founders Nadine Beasley and Kate Taylor-Davies.  Its aim is to provide visually impaired patrons with high quality access to the arts, primarily through Audio Description and Voiceover. Nadine and Kate were trained in 2011 at Curve Leicester and certified by the Audio Description Association under an Access for Theatre initiative.

Audio Description

Talking Sense provide Audio Description, utilising only fully-qualified audio describers to ensure the highest possible standard of theatrical experience for our customers’ patrons

Recording and Distribution

For the provision of audio description services, including the recording, duplication and distribution of an audio-described Introduction CD


Liaison with Programme editors and the theatre marketing and publicity and access officer, and the delivery of a Touch-Tour to patrons.


Curve is a spectacular state-of-the-art theatre based in the heart of Leicester’s vibrant Cultural Quarter. 


Theatre Royal Haymarket Productions is the Haymarket Theatre’s commercial production arm, creating quality shows in London’s West End, on UK tour and internationally.


Founded by Sir Peter Hall, and modelled on the original Elizabethan Rose Theatre on London’s Bankside, Rose Theatre Kingston is the largest producing theatre in South West London.

Who are we?

Meet the genius team

Nadine Beasley


She spent twelve years teaching voice production and performance techniques and during this time, in 2011, was trained as an Audio Describer. She particularly enjoys working with young patrons, as they bring new and exciting challenges and fresh dialogue.

Kate Taylor-Davies


As part of Talking Sense, they are passionate about Audio Description, having been avidly involved in the process since 2010. Having loved theatre and the arts since their early years they are keen to be part of a process that enables all members of society to share the same experiences.
